A wide variety of supplies are included in the Family First Aid Kit

In our post on the various categories of first aid supplies, I mentioned the Family First Aid Kit. This post is about my suggestions on what to include in a emergency bag first aid kit for an adult responsible for a family.

Every emergency bag needs a First Aid Kit. This kit has more variety, additional bandaging and dressing options, as well as more individual dose medications to handle most of what comes your way in an emergency so you can help your family or others you may encounter.

This list is a starting point. Adapt it as needed. Customize the contents and make sure you know how and when to use all the supplies. Many Adults may want to carry this kit instead of the Adult Personal First Aid Kit because of the added supplies and extra space in the upgraded bag.

In an emergency situation or natural disaster, EMS may not be available for days. You will need to take care of many of your own family’s first aid needs. Consider what those may be when customizing your kit.

As always, these are recommendations for starting points. You can put together your own kit or buy one of ours. Either way, you should customize it to your individual and family needs.

Bag Details

The bag that comes with this kit features a main compartment with 2 side pockets. The side pockets are quite roomy and can hold quick access items like gloves, bandages, medications, etc. The main compartment comes with an organizer insert. The insert has 2 pockets as well as a movable divider. There is also room around all 4 sides of the insert to store items, effectively giving you 8 areas for organization. The entire bag has extra room to hold many supplies you may add as you customize your kit.
